The following are three organizational best practices for attracting and keeping a diverse workforce:
- As a significant aspect of the company’s culture, use the color brave.
- The Neurodiversity Account Support Associate program is looking for high-functioning autism persons.
- Mentorship people from different cultures, including cross-gender, cross-functional, cross-segment, cross-generational, and cross-regional mentoring.
Because these best practices in encouraging diversity are a new notion in fostering diversity, I chose the above three suggestions. They’ve been adopted successfully by top-tier businesses. The three best practices listed above are distinct in that they pay more attention to minorities. This technique of cultivating diversity in the workplace fosters a sense of belonging among employees, allowing the company to fulfill its goals. I would recommend the three best practices listed above to the CEO of my community’s health-care provider for the following reasons:
- When patients meet with a health care practitioner, there is always a cultural or linguistic barrier. When a nurse acknowledges this cultural sensitivity and goes out of her way to put the patient at ease, the patient’s satisfaction rating skyrockets. The healthcare provider will be in a better position to explain the diagnosis to the patients after the patients are satisfied.
- People who are financially disadvantaged do not have access to quality health care providers. A health care practitioner with a minority background who prefers to work in this sector promotes the patient-to-doctor ratio, which improves the physician’s reputation.
- Various organisations are always ready to reach out to people from various demographic groupings. A country’s patient demographic is diverse. As a result, if personnel of various cultures reach out to people of various origins, ages, languages, faiths, sexual orientations, disabilities, occupational situations, and so on, the doctor-patient ratio will improve.
When interacting with health professionals from other cultures, there are several potential challenges to overcome:
- Cultural variances – Different cultures have different customs that providers must be aware of. For example, a nurse from a Middle Eastern nation may lack cultural awareness.
- Language barrier- Due to language barriers, understanding the provider is difficult.
